Aric Sudicky2011 Fitness Professional of the Year ARIC SUDICKY, Director of Fitness, BSc Science – With a relentless passion for fitness and health, Aric Sudicky has propelled himself to the forefront of the Canadian fitness industry. While attending university he was a decorated student athlete, winning a national silver medal for varsity volleyball along with the prestigious “Silver Medallion” from the University of Calgary for graduating at the top of his class. With multiple certifications along with university education in biology, Aric is truly passionate about health, the human body and the ability to utilize science to better those around him.Immediately out of university, Aric co-produced and hosted his personal DVD, Optimum Fitness & Nutrition and has since developed an Apple iphone application. He has also been extensively published as a fitness model in magazines such as Maximum Fitness, Inside Fitness and Exercise & Health. As a fitness professional, Aric is changing the face of personal training having launched Medically Integrated Personal Training at Medpoint Healthcare Centre, which has fully integrated exercise, nutrition and medicine for the first time in Canada. In addition to improving the health status of patients, Aric has established himself as an elite fitness competition coach, working with a variety of competitors such as current CBBF Figure Tall Champion Emily Zelinka and UFE Pro Fitness Model, Jet Black.Respected for his humble character and genuine compassion for each individual he works with, Aric continues to exemplify what it means to be a well rounded contributor to the fitness industry. Ron Young RON YOUNG, Certified Kinesiologist, Certified Personal Trainer, Adaptive Fitness Professional, Certified Laser Therapist – Ron attended school at the University of Western Ontario graduating from a four-year program with Honours specializing in Kinesiology. He really enjoyed his time at University and has a passion for health and wellness.When he finished school he started working at a physiotherapy clinic helping people who had been injured in car accidents. It was there that he was able to create and implement exercise programs for these individuals and help them take the right steps towards full recovery. This was a very rewarding experience for Ron, as it is his passion to help people, and educate them in these areas.Ron has been training with clients and patients for a few years now and has experience in exercising with individuals who have a complex medical history.“It is my pleasure to work with you at Medpoint and help you work towards your goals.”
‪‬‪‬‪‬‪‬‪‬‪‬‪‬‪‬KATE LEIN, Fitness Professional, BA Kin, CPTN certified – Kate graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A in Kinesiology. Her four years in the Kinesiology program as well as her experience with coaching and participating in sports have a contributed to a strong passion for fitness and nutrition. Kate‪ ski raced at a competitive
level in Collingwood, Ontario for 4 years until she decided to go to university. After her racing career ended she began ski coaching and developed a love for working with kids and helping them develop their skills and technique in skiing. ‪Discovering her‪ love for exercise and nutrition has inspired her‪ to help others develop the knowledge and confidence to exercise and feel great about themselves. She feels that o‪nce you incorporate exercise into your life you’ll‪ find all of a‪ sudden everything else in your life becomes less stressful.
  KATY COOPER, Fitness Professional, BA Kin - Katy attended Wilfrid Laurier University where she obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a minor in Psychology.  As a former competitive dancer, she trained extensively with her team in Tillsonburg and enjoyed the combination of artistic expression and physical demands the sport provided.  Her passion for dance drove her to become involved in an annual charity dance and fashion show at the University where she was a performer, choreographer, and the Artistic Director.  Her love for fitness sparked when she attended her first group aerobics class in university.  She is now an experienced Group Fitness Instructor, having taught a variety of classes including Sculpt, Kickboxing, Bootcamp, Step, Cardio, and Dance.   As a certified Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer, Katy strives to help others discover their motivations for making realistic and sustainable lifestyle changes.  She believes the benefits of exercise not only affect body weight and appearance, but also energy levels, sleeping patterns, stress relief, self-confidence, emotional and psychological well-being, and control of other diseases and illness.  By sharing her knowledge and passion for fitness, she hopes others will see these benefits and want to live a similar healthy and active lifestyle.
  AMY HENDRIKSEN, Certified Kinesiologist, Fitness Professional – Amy graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a minor in Psychology.  Living an active lifestyle has always been important to her.  Amy played competitive basketball for several years, that’s when she discovered a love for running and strength training.  She has a strong passion for health and fitness in her own life and makes it her goal to help others discover this same passion. Amy believes that exercise has something to offer everyone, regardless of their age or physical ability.  She also believes that living a healthy active lifestyle is a choice that you have to make and commit to each day.  She wants to help others commit to this lifestyle and to discover the countless health, psychological, and emotional benefits that come from incorporating exercise into your daily life.
