2) Enough of the coffee already, what about TEA?

*Can tea have health benefits?

*Yes! Tea has been shown to lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and help reduce inflammation due to the high antioxidant content.

*All traditional teas come from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis. However, even flavoured herbal teas still have some health benefits, most resulting from various antioxidants.

*Often overlooked are the hunger curbing benefits of tea! Feeling “snacky” and craving something sweet mid afternoon? Brew a fresh mug of sugar free berry herbal tea!

 

3)  Myth Buster: is red wine really good for you? New Controversy!

Resveratrol controversy! Dr. Dipak Das of the University of Connecticut is under severe scrutiny with some claiming he fabricated results more than 100 times.

*This has brought into question the health benefits of red wine in recent months, however, other researchers have affirmed that their own studies have also showed the health benefits of red grape skin used in making wine.

*Will I still enjoy a glass or dry red? Yes! There is still scientific evidence in favour of consumption in MODERATION.
